Other things to note
WINTER: We recommend a 4-wheeled drive (4WD) vehicle. Periods of heavy snowfall are common at 7,500 ft. 4WD (or chains for 2WD vehicles) may be required on local roads during winter storms.
PARKING: One covered carport spot provided. 2nd parking pass provided to enable 2nd car parking at pool / tahoe village community building (1/2 mile down the road) ***Failure to return 2 parking passes upon check-out may result in forfeiture of $100 from security deposit and/or potential negative guest review*** Additional parking is usually available across the street in the Heavenly Stagecoach lodge parking lot. Please be advised that vehicles parked there are on Heavenly’s property, not our condo building property. During peak season periods (approx Dec 15-Apr 15), we suggest only parking there for limited time periods, and absolutely avoid parking there overnight if snowfall is planned (as they may ticket/tow if they are unable to keep the lot plowed). Unlimited free parking is available at the Hard Rock casino in downtown South Lake.
SUMMER: Building does not have air conditioning, summer temps usually moderate at 7,500 ft elevation. One condo window air conditioner in living room, 2 ceiling fans, and 3-4 mobile fans for summer guest use.

Note on cancellation policy: Please note that booking a visit to Lake Tahoe comes with some risks of guests wishing to cancel and receive a refund due to natural disasters or weather related events. Our cancellation policies are strictly enforced regardless of the reason for cancellation. If you need to reschedule your date, you must be in compliance with cancellation policy first. If there is a blizzard, road closure, fire, smoke, rock slide, avalanche and/or any other natural disasters, our cancellation policy will still be enforced as we cannot expect our property owners to be held accountable for refunds for natural disasters which are expected to occur in the High Sierra Nevada Mountain Range on a constant, regular basis.
WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL TRAVELERS TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO ENSURE PROTECTION IN THE EVENT YOU FEEL THE NEED TO CANCEL FOR ANY REASON.
Cleaning fees also include: Maintenance, supplies, restocking costs. This pays for guest consumables (Such as laundry detergent, soaps, shampoos, starter set of paper towels, tp, etc. For longer stays, we ask guests to purchase). Replacement of items such as broken coffee makers, portable heaters, fans, linens, towels and more. Regular trash removal from bear bins to town dump. We ask guests to assist with optional checkout procedures that are very time consuming such as start dishwasher, wash a load or two of towels. This unit was nice but not necessarily amazing - there could be some upgrades/updates to cabinets, pots/pans/seat cushions. It feels slightly dated. However - the pluses outweigh - as:
- the location to Stagecoach is amazing
- it did the job - we used 3 rooms for 4 people and we all slept well.
- the layout and use of space is good so everyone can easily join together or get some private time to read, etc
- there’s plenty of seating in the living area - well-done.
The communication was exceptional - very responsive.
We would come again! But only once the elevator is fixed! 🙂
All in all the Airbnb was lovely! It was a little difficult to get good airflow at first, but we figured it out.
Only complaint, which isn’t on the owners at all, is that the elevator was still out at the end of July. It’s listed as a 4th floor, but the numbers don’t start until 2 flights up. As someone in their third trimester of pregnancy, it was a difficulty- but doable. The owner does mention it in the listing, we just had thought the elevator would be fixed but then.
Other than that, owners were very responsive. A few items were broken like a chair and a tile, but we let the owners know and it was no big deal.
We would stay again!
We had a great time staying at this condo and the location for skiing was awesome, but there are a few things to note just so others area aware.
Broken Elevator - The condo is on the 4th floor, but there are about 12 flights of stairs to get there. It was a lot of work to unpack the car and then have the kids walk up and down. Also, not great after a day of skiing.
Ski in/ski out - Quick walk across the street to the stage coach lift, but it is not a true ski in/ski out where you go directly to your front door. Regardless, it is a GREAT location, but just need to note that.
Pillows - personally, I found the pillows to be uncomfortable. They are very overstuffed cotton so if you are used to a softer pillow, bring your own!
Beds - the top floor is a Murphy bed and in a loft area, so it is open to the living room, but has blinds to close the space. Also, the rooms have been swapped
All in all, we had a wonderful trip and it was perfect spot for 4 days of skiing with the family!

Location: 6 out of 5 stars! The room is closer to the Stagecoach lift than the stagecoach lodge is.
The interior was also just what our group needed. We would definitely come back again!
