During the winter, South Lake Tahoe California is within an easy drive to several world class ski resorts. Closest to South Lake Tahoe are Heavenly, Sierra at Tahoe and Kirkwood. If you’re staying for an extended amount of time, it may be worth the drive to check out Squaw Valley in the north, or about a half a dozen other great ski resorts around Lake Tahoe. At Lake Tahoe there are an endless amount of great activities for families and friends such as snowmobiling, snowshoeing, casinos and more.
During the summer, there are plenty of great activities such as boating, jet skiing, swimming, hiking, hanging out at the beach, casinos and more. With plenty of great restaurants, and a great nightlife, there are great things to do all day and night in the winter, spring, summer and fall.
