Great place; cozy, great location, for a tiny lot square off Ski Run Blvd it’s great.

Only caveat I’d insist on writing are just about the couches and stairs. The former are pretty dated (especially if you’re looking to use the fold-out bed, it hurts) the latter are downright dangerous.

If you have elderly people on your vacation, or children of any age, I strongly recommend considering the risk. Several times we almost ate it on those damn stairs, easily would have been a hospital visit or worse.

If your careful, and don’t mind a sore back when resting on the couches, the lot is great, well-designed for its size, great location, great communication with the Lux, if these two key issues get their much needed updates, the place is then competitively priced (and safe, this is a pretty dangerous staircase).

The inside and deck areas were average, and need some updating based on the price. The hot tub was a big plus! Overall we enjoyed our stay because it was so easy to get to everything and the cabin was cozy for our family of 3.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. It was perfect for us. We had perfect weather all week. I loved we could walk to a beach, tons of places to eat and shopping. Hot tub was great. It’s a cool place, don’t get me wrong. I just thought from pictures we were walking into this big cabin, then I walk in and almost hit my head on the beams ran at 7’-0”.

Also, I didn’t realize the cleaning fee was $300!!
Yes, I’m the idiot who should have paid more attention before booking. 100%. But wow! $300 for cleaning! I’m switching careers. That’s ridiculous. There’s no way it took more than 45 mins to straighten that place up.

Place was cozy, clean, and in a great location and walking distance from popular South Lake Tahoe destinations.

Overall we really enjoyed the place. Only downside is that the rental agency didn’t take the time to clear the porch of snow and ice. Spent the first couple hours clearing it myself. De icer and tools were provided, but for the money paid that would have been a nice service. Either way, not a huge disappointment and would come back again for sure

My husband and I (and our dog) very much enjoyed the stay at this property:
bed was very comfortable, the house itself felt very private despite being near the main road, kitchen was well-stocked, hot tub was a perfect bonus after a chilly day on the mountain, communication with the management company was very good. And there is a great Japanese restaurant just 2 houses down!

One thing I'd like to note: the house does not have a furnace, just a small gas fireplace and a couple of electric heaters. Even though the house is fairly small, we weren't able to warm it above 64 degrees even after several hours of running the heaters and fireplace. It wasn't a huge deal for us but might be for older folks who are more sensitive to the cold. Just something to keep in mind especially on the colder days.

We had the best time for a long snowy weekend in South Lake Tahoe. The location is ideal for skiers, only 5 minutes away from Heavenly. We came as a group of 4 and brought my dog. The place was in pristine condition upon arriving and we felt right at home. We skied every day, came home to a hot tub and went out to restaurants around the corner. I even got my board waxed by just walking around the corner. We also got a ton of snow while we were there and our driveway was cleared by the time we woke up. So dreamy, we almost extended our stay. Only issue was connecting to WiFi, but the property management team was very responsive and helped us resolve quickly.

Would 100% stay here again!

Let me start by saying this place is a DUMP and whomever sets the pricing is insane. First issue: the house legit sags from structural issues so you’re walking downhill in the living room and the kitchen. Second issue: the main doors leading out to the desk are broken, they have a note saying to use the other door because it sticks but the second door is just as bad and you have to fight to get it open and shut. Third issue: Tall people need not apply, the kitchen ceiling is so low my husband was skimming his head on the top. Fourth issue: The stairs are straight up scary. I wear a size 6 shoe in women’s and half my foot was hanging off the stairs that’s how small they are. Fifth issue. This place says it sleep four when it doesn’t. We pulled out the sofa bed and the fitted sheet was stained and dirty from the last people, plus no one left anything other then that disgusting fitted sheet. No top sheet, pillows or blankets. Lastly the hot tub is green. Yep, GREEN.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property in South Lake Tahoe. In order to help others best prepare for their trip, I've noted a few of our pros and cons below.

Pros:
- The location couldn't be better. You are one block away from Ski Run Blvd which looks directly up Heavenly. The location is also only a few blocks from beach access and activities. You can also walk to several restaurants and stores, including Whole Foods.
- Hot tub worked well and was a great temperature upon arrival!
-The kitchen was reasonably well stocked. There wasn't necessarily an abundance of supplies, but you could get by with what you were given and there was enough cleaning supplies to last. I appreciated that there was plenty of laundry detergent, as well.
- The windows and large doors throughout the property was great for indoor/outdoor living to best enjoy the weather.

Cons:
- My primary con was that the property interior was tired and definitely needed some updating. In particular, there were many large stains over all of the carpet which gave a feeling of being unclean. I think this definitely needs to be professionally cleaned or replaced.
- The decor in general was lacking and one of the kitchen chairs was broken. I understand these properties have a lot of people in and out, but for the price I think some upgrades would be in order.
- I think this was properly shown in the listing, but the staircase would be hard for elderly people or young children so keep that in mind when booking.
- This isn't the fault of the property, but I wish the curfew laws were more clearly stated in the listing. You can't use the hot tub or porch at all between 10 p.m. or 8 a.m. without threat of legal fines or eviction. I'm not sure how this is enforced given we heard plenty of noise from the dog next door throughout the trip, but we didn't want to break the rules.

Overall, I think this property has a good value! I wouldn't call it "five stars" but if location and convenience is your main goal, this is a good fit.

This is really a wonderful place. The location is right down the street from spas, restaurants, Whole Foods, and some coffee shops. It’s safe and secluded without being isolated. The beds were both comfortable for us (including the pull out). The towels, blankets (which were abundant), and linens were all soft and cozy. I was sad the hot tub can’t be used from 10p-8a due to local South Lake Tahoe noise restrictions so never actually got to use it. The fan and heater work well on an unusually cool past weekend in June. We stayed with our dog for an additional $150 fee and there were small dog bowls set out for her! I appreciated the other small touches too like putting motion-sensitive lighting on the stair steps so you don’t fall at night. Overhead rainfall shower head was a nice touch! I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the lux villa was nothing short of amazing. It’s modern aesthetic really gave us a luxury experience! The home was stocked with everything we needed and it was extremely clean! The neighborhood is very quiet and everyone was very respectful. The heat/air works great and the cute little fire place adds a very cozy feel. This place is great for a quiet, relaxing weekend away. The cute house sits back from the road. Walking distance to the lake and restaurants. The loft bed is very comfy but slanted ceilings might cause a problem for average to tall persons. The stairs are steep.
The kitchen has everything; all was clean and new.
The jacuzzi is nice.
The sofa bed downstairs is old and not comfortable.
Over all, it is a cute place in a quiet street. Needs improvement to really offer a comfortable stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect; in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. The house was adorable, very clean and had everything we needed. Check in was very simple, we loved how dog friendly it was and the hot tub. It was also a big plus for us to have a Tesla charger; since we’re Tesla owners. Communication was a little lacking but we loved the home and plan to stay again soon.

We were so lucky to be the first guests to stay in this wonderful property. The location simply cannot be beat - a lovely stroll from heavenly village with countless restaurants and the incredible marina with a beautiful dog friendly beach.
The property is sparkling clean and perfectly equipped. We used the spacious well stocked kitchen daily and loved dipping in the hot tub at the end of a long hiking day.
Communication was quick and efficient and they even gifted us two lovely coffee mugs made by a local artist. cannot recommend this more and looking forward to returning!
