Our two families with children ages 3, 4 and 9 had a wonderful stay here! It was comfortable, clean, the kitchen had all the essentials and a stocked pantry with basics and cleaning supplies. The beds were super comfy, our kids loved the bunk beds, and there was plenty of room to lounge on the giant couch. There were games and yoga mats for family-friendly activities. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a day of snowboarding at Heavenly (10 minute drive), and snow play. We would highly recommend this rental, and would happily stay again.

The place was very clean and well stocked. The staff at Lux Villa was very accommodating and quick to respond to the question we had. The place is more than adequate in every respect, and we would definitely recommend the accommodations.

House was good. Two things I would change. On Demand water heater sucks. Toilets felt like they were meant for an RV. I’d change them out for elongated. Simple changes would boost you to a 5 star.

Great spot that’s very nice. The driveway is a little steep and plowing delayed when there’s lots of snow, but would stay here again regardless.

We had our annual girls ski/snowboard trip here. It was the perfect space for 7 people. Perfect location, close drive to heavenly.

Great house and location! Having a fenced back yard was a huge plus if you're bringing your furbaby. Kitchen was spacious and rooms were sized well.

Overall a nice place to stay with convenient access to Heavenly, and a hot tub to relax in.

Here are some of the nice things beyond what the listing says:

• Drawers and luggage racks available to use (many places don't provide these, so you end up living out of your luggage on the floor)

• Decently stocked pantry (with spices, coffee grinder, etc)

Why we didn't give five stars:

• Hot water was a challenge. The tankless heater could only support one shower at a time, the temperature fluctuated a lot during showers, and the water cools in the pipes quickly which means lots of waiting and waste.

• Lots of little things, like: minimal towels and drinking glasses (you'll have to plan washing around usage), dining chairs that are almost broken, crappy toilet paper, the back door was hard to open and close.

the space was very clean, beds were pretty comfortable, super comfy couch to relax and unwind. The dining room chairs definitely need fixing or replacing most were wobbly but all in all it was a nice space to visit and cook meals and spend time together.

Our stay at the Lux Villa was a pleasant time. Very cozy atmosphere and felt like home away from home, will recommend to others and hopefully get to stay there again soon.

Great place to stay at in SLT. The place has some items that need to be fixed such as the sliding glass door and towel rack in the main bedroom. I let management know and they addressed them promptly. Overall, great stay!

Our family of 6 had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at lake Tahoe. The place was in a quiet neighborhood with walking trails and restaurants within 5 minutes drive. The kids had fun at the jacuzzi! Will definitely return here again.

This was a pretty decent spot overall. We liked how close it was to everything and that it was dog friendly. The hot tub was a plus.

This place was perfect for our family of 4, with room to spare. The layout is great with separation from the TV and bedrooms if you need quite for little ones to sleep. Great location close to snow play and restaurants, etc. Very dog friendly (with toys and a bed!) with ample room in the laundry room for our dog crate. We didn't cook much but the kitchen seemed well stocked with all that you need. My son locked us out of one of the bathrooms by mistake and the property mgmt company was very quick to respond and we resolved it quickly. All around a great little spot!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The place easily fit 2 families and a pup. The house had a great back yard and was an easy drive to most things in South Lake Tahoe. The hosts were also very responsive with a few questions we had on where to find some amenities.

This house is perfectly located in South Lake Tahoe- super close to the downtown area (just a quick 5-10 drive) yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoyed the hot tub and the nearby meadow for walking/hiking.

This was a nice stay. The backyard was nice and spacious for the kids and dog to play snow in. The hot tub was nice and clean. The house was comfy and homey. Beds were comfortable. It was overall a warm and welcoming stay.

Cons:
1) The wood fireplace was nice for 1 night until there was no more wood to fit in the furnace. There was plenty of wood available, but only a handful of them were cut to size. There was a handsaw there to help cut the wood, but it was bent and couldn’t actually cut. I messaged Lux VR about this via Airbnb messages, and they said guests need to provide their own wood. That was a minor downer. It comes down to the impersonal touch of a management company vs an actual host that owns the home. Not a big deal. Just be aware.
2) The kitchen didn’t have a bottle opener.
3)The neighbor across the street is a nosy Nancy. She told us “nicely” to stay on our side even though we never went on her side. She’s watching and waiting to complain about non issues.

Very cute home! Loved the cozy cabin vibe, hot tub, and plenty of room for our group to spread out. Very dog friendly. We had a great stay! Only thing is the neighbor across the street is a bit particular and overbearing - she came out more than once to tell us where/how to park, but that didn’t ruin our experience. Would stay here again!

Place is exactly as described with a very nice back yard and hot tub. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make our thanksgiving week meals and have no issues to report. Also, the host is incredibly responsive, even on a holiday weekend! They really go above and beyond to make sure that everything is OK with your stay. I would stay here again for sure next time we're in South Lake Tahoe and would recommend it to you as well!

My family of five loved this home for our 4-night stay!! The layout was perfect for us with young children and dogs. Not only is the home pet friendly, it is pet welcoming with EVERYTHING you would need for your dog including a bed, food & water dishes, treats, pooper scooper, and a fully fenced backyard. Location was absolutely perfect for quiet trail walks as well as easy drives to the main road & downtown area. Hot tub was a great size and easy to manage as well. The washer & dryer were conveniently located just inside of the garage to quickly warm up wet gloves after playing in the snow and towels after the hot tub (4 pool towels provided). The floors don’t get praise enough for their beauty and kid-friendliness hahaha. The fireplace was also well-maintained and a feature we sought out when selecting a house. I had trouble finding something in the fully-loaded kitchen and my message was responded to very quickly and friendly. All check-in, during-your-stay, and check-out directions were clearly stated and easy to follow. We had zero issues during our stay and would absolutely stay here again!!

This place is pet friendly and full of great amenities. A nice place to spend time with family and enjoy the snow of Tahoe.

Amazing home!! By far the best Airbnb I stayed at filled with amenities and household items needed for daily living. Location is perfect only a 10 min drive to the state line. And can’t forget about the jacuzzi!!

This place is fantastic! Super clean and exactly as described. They bedrooms are all great and the living room, dining and kitchen area are great for all groups. You can't beat the backyard with room for games, a hammock and the hot tub. Only 5 minutes from the main strip you really can't beat this place!

The house is well located in a South Lake Tahoe residential neighborhood. The kids and our dog had a great time playing in the backyard. We also enjoyed the hot tub, hammock and grill. The interiors are well appointed with a very nice TV and sound system. I would stay here again!

I like the place. It was very nice and quiet. We love the jacuzzi. Very clean as well. We were able to check in an hour earlier. Our dog loves the patio. I highly recommend it.

We were briefly visiting from LA and hand a wonderful time.

It was really cold and dark when we arrived. We arrived and the lights were not working. I then reached out to the Luz Villa VR and received a response until about an hour. They advised the power went out... I asked for a refund to go to a location where it would be warm before the dark settled in and a refund was not an option given to me. The power came back before the dark settled in which is why I did not reach back out and stayed at the location. The bathrooms were a little dirty. Besides that everything was okay.

The house was wonderful for our group of 4 and dog. Big backyard! The sofa and smart tv was a great spot to gather at night. The hot tub is a great addition. Kitchen has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable! House is tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood, but a short drive downtown and to Heavenly Ski Resort.

We really enjoyed our stay here with friends this weekend. The backyard (with incredible hot tub) is great for grilling and letting the pups romp around. Big, comfy couch to watch movies and play games on. Nice kitchen to cook for a group. We really appreciated the washer and dryer, as well, as it was nice to dry towels after getting out of the hot tub.

We were a little worried that neighbors would be very strict about noise due to all the noise ordinance warnings, but we just made sure we kept our voices reasonable when we were in the hot tub and went back inside before 10pm and there were no issues.

Home was clean, well-organized and cared for. We would be so happy to book this place again.

This house is better than advertised. Our family of 5 were sad to leave after our amazing stay. All the amenities plus more! Large backyard and hot tub was a hit with the family. The hose was very accessible and were communicative the entire time as needed.

This is a great place for families to come! The large couch was perfect to fit the whole family and it opens right to the kitchen so everyone can be together. The rooms are adorable and spacious. It was clean and everything about our trip was smooth and easy. We'll definitely be back!

This is a beautiful property with all of the necessary amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the necessities. The place was spotless. We had the cut our visit short due to the Caldor Fire. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

This is the best Airbnb we've ever booked. The house is clean, modern, and cozy. You can find everything you need in this house. The furnished kitchen with seasoning, modern refrigerator, utensils, kitchenware, dishwasher, etc. They even have vacuum cleaner and the air purifier. The laundry room is cute with prepared detergent. They also prepare pain relief, bandage, lotion, sunscreen, glue, etc. The host is friendly and nice. Everything is perfect!

This spot was perfect! They had cornhole in the back, the hot tub was perfect, the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. I had read a review saying there was no coffee pot and that they didn’t have enough towels so we brought our own and did not need to. We loved how dog friendly the place was too. Even had a basket of dog toys. So welcoming and so fun!

Our stay at Lux Villa VR was cozy and nice. All the rooms were spacious and the beds were super comfortable for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers. It may be a good idea to bring your own larger bath towels and beach towels as those were not provided. The kitchen had everything needed, except coffee, for us to cook a few meals during our stay. Great decor, apple sound system and 4 person jacuzzi. Location was pretty central to Heavenly and beaches but more of a 40 min walk to town, shops and restaurants. Overall, we had a good stay.

This rental is seriously a dream and met every criteria on our cabin getaway wish list. We had 4 adult guests and a small dog during our stay and there was plenty of room to accommodate more guests. The property was very clean, the beds/pillows/linens were good quality, the kitchen was stocked with all essential cooking materials and then some, and there was an updated washer/dryer if needed. The weather was high 70s when we visited but the cabin stayed very cool and comfortable. The neighborhood was ideal, not a lot of commotion in the community and neighbors kept to themselves. Very close distance to downtown south lake and Stateline. We also appreciated being able to park our vehicle in the garage (there was healing amounts of pollen everywhere outdoors!).

Only cautionary comment I would leave for future guests is to watch out for the high chlorine chemicals in the hot tub. 3/4 guests had their swim suits completely bleached after only an hour or so in the hot tub which was a bummer. The south lake rental restrictions and quiet hours are extreme so don’t plan a late night party here, but aside from those minor issues we give this place 5 stars and look forward to future visits.

We stayed here immediately after our wedding weekend, and it was absolutely the perfect place to relax and unwind. It was so comfortable and had every convenience needed. We loved the big couch/tv, comfortable bed, fenced in yard for our pup, laundry, and lovely hot tub. We really didn’t want to leave and would definitely return for our next trip to Tahoe.

Spacious home in a very nice wooded neighborhood. Everything was as described, even better than expected. We barbecued twice, used the hot tub, visited the lake several times, walked our dog locally and thoroughly enjoyed the great room. Nicely set up and all the amenities of home - thank you!

This place is AWESOME!! The description is accurate and the house is clean, comfortable and well stocked with several thoughtful touches. It is clear that the host invested in quality furniture/ appliances/ decor.

Favorite things:
- Backyard is fenced in and felt like a private space surrounded by huge trees. Perfect for our dog
- Actually dog friendly, not just dogs allowed. Basket of dog toys and dog bed in the living room
- Hot tub is VERY nice! Easy instructions, easy to use cover, stayed hot, very comfortable seats. Great way to end each day!
- Living room has a large comfortable couch that actually faces the TV
- Bed was fine
- Rooms are spacious, it was just my husband and I with our young son, but we easily could have had 2-3 more adults without feeling crammed

We will absolutely look for this property for future Tahoe trips, it’s that great!

This home is beautiful. There’s a big backyard for your furry friend to run around and play in without the worry of them getting out. The hot tub is a perfect spot to enjoy the crisp Lake Tahoe air but remain warm as well. The kitchen was our favorite part as we do cook all but like 1 meal when we vacation. It has more amenities then you can believe. I was nervous to go with out dog since we haven’t taken him to a Airbnb before and didn’t know if they would have everything we could ever need to clean up after him. Luckily they had plenty of cleaning supplies to make sure you can pick up any accidents if it happens and clean any messes your family might make. The firewood burning stove was great too to keep you warm throughout the day if you do decide to stay in for most of the day. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a little more woodsy feel but still be minutes away from the heart of South Lake Tahoe. We really enjoyed being able to ride our bikes into town and back for lunch and not feel like you had to be super athletic to do so since it is so close to delicious dining and shops. This place was 10/10. It was way better then we could have imagined.

We had a fabulous trip and loved this house. The location was perfect to get down to the lake, to the bike trail, and to trailheads. The house was very clean and really well stocked. They had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was clean and easy to use. The backyard was completely secure and plenty big enough to throw a stick so we had no concerns about our dog’s safety/happiness. We loved having access to the garage to securely store our bikes without taking up space in our main living space. We did not use the wood stove, but everything else worked as expected.

We had a great stay here! The house is perfect, about 5-15 mins from anything you could want or need, and we lacked nothing during our stay. We really appreciated the hot tub as well! All the communication leading up to the stay was quick and timely. Highly recommend.
