This is an older house from the 1970’s but it was very clean. The bathrooms and kitchen have been updated with new appliances. It’s very cozy feeling with firm but comfortable foam beds. We were disappointed in the bedroom bedding and rugs being mismatched and not even close to the photos but they were clean. The kitchen was well stocked, over stocked to the point of drawers being jammed. 7 tongs 2 cork screws and 3 veggie peelers and scissors was excessive. Less is best. The house has been staged for the photos and taken on wide angle so things look a bit different in real life. It sits very close on the corner of two dead end streets. October nights were very quiet but days were a bit noisy with construction. We were out exploring so no big deal. Note that bears are everywhere so keep the deck gate closed. And watch for coyotes in the neighborhood if you’re walking small dogs. You are immersed in nature here.

We enjoyed our stay; it is a cute cabin in a great location. Perfect for us with a nice kitchen, comfortable beds, with nice linens and towels. Very relaxing wuth beautiful trees and stars. What a great house, in a beautiful central location on the South Shore, close to Echo Lake, Fallen Leaf Lake, and downtown South Lake Tahoe. Our family and dog had an amazing time.

Pro-tip for anyone going with dogs, take the short walk down the end of W San Bernardino Ave until it ends and turns into a trail. Upper Truckee River is just a short walk from there a great place for dogs (or kids) to run around and play in the shallow water.

The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. The larger bed was comfortable, the small bed was not comfortable but worked for my 12 year old alright. Each bedroom had a small fan and a ceiling found was located in the living room, this was just to cool off the cabin. The hot tub worked well, just be aware it is right in front of the drive way, people walking the neighborhood and definitely see you relaxing. The only other concern was the ability to communicate, there was a problem with the bathroom shower and I was not able to get a hold of anyone using the phone number provided even via text. It was not an emergency since there was another shower but I just wanted to make sure somebody was aware of the situation.

The cabin is beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed to feel at home. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and serve, including BBQ utensils. The wraparound deck is a plus for your morning coffee/tea to start or end your day in Tahoe. There is a TV in the living room as well as in both bedrooms. The hot tub was ready for us to enjoy upon arrival. Fireplace warms up the entire cabin and make it cozy. The BBQ works great, there is also an extra propane tank if needed. The location is about a 15 to 20 min drive to Heavenly ski resort depending on the route you take. The front fence is not tall so if you are taking a pet that a jumper, suggest having them on a leash. All in all, is a perfect location for a relaxing quiet getaway and I will be looking forward to coming back. I would absolutely recommend staying there!

Great location, close to all the South Lake Tahoe attractions but in an area where you have a bit more space. The home was as described, cozy clean and stocked with the essentials. The wraparound deck was perfect for a bbq and just lounging around. And the hot tub was clean and ready for use. The fencing had some gaps so you may have to keep an eye on your dogs. There were plenty of trails nearby to explore.

We really enjoyed the home! The gas fireplace makes the living room reeeally cozy. The location is great for Heavenly, and an easy drive to Kirkwood as well. One bedroom has a queen bed (nice tempurpedic mattress) and the other bedroom is a double, so it's not a huge place but perfect for smaller groups. This is a good choice of airbnb for a couple, two couples, or a small family. The location is excellent, only 10mins from South Lake Tahoe village (with a ton of restaurants, cafes, groceries, etc), yet in a beautiful, secluded forest location so you feel like you're alone in nature. If you're coming to Tahoe to ski, Heavenly ski resort is only a 15 min drive. The home is beautiful, particularly the living room, which looks out into the forest and has a cozy fireplace and fully stocked kitchen which we used to cook multiple meals. There is a jacuzzi nestled on the side of a hill which worked great. This home also accepts dogs which many Tahoe airbnbs do not. The biggest downside of this airbnb is that the furniture is outdated and uncomfortable. The living room sofas are super saggy and lumpy, and we ended up just sitting on the floor. The master bedroom has (IMO) low quality microfiber linens and bedspread - we slept very poorly two nights, and then moved to the side bedroom, which actually has a way better bed and led to better sleep.

Some of the advertised features did not work at the house, which is misleading. We did not appreciate that the fireplace was non-functional, when this feature was advertised and a key part of staying in the mountains in November. We texted the management and they made an excuse and said that someone would come by in the next week- um cool, but we only stayed for the weekend… the hot tub was also cold when. we arrived, so we couldn’t use it the first night, again disappointing for our short stay. The house was also not highly clean, we found residue in glasses and dishes. Overall, the cabin is quite outdated and the pictures are a bit misleading as well. Another comment about safety: the door opens with a code and there is no other lock to secure yourself inside, so anyone with the code could come in. For the amount of money charged, the lack of attention, and misleading advertising, our stay was highly disappointing. We did like that the place was good for our dog, which was about the only good feature. There are much better places to stay in Tahoe, I’d skip this one.
