This was such a nice place to visit and stay at. Apart from the snow covering access at first, it was super pretty and scenic after clearing things. Definitely would recommend this!

This place was awesome! Very dog and kid friendly and clean! The hot tub worked. There are heated mats that are on the balcony, down the stairs, and to the hot tub that helped the snow melt, which was a huge plus.

We had plenty of space for two adults, two teens, and baby. We all enjoyed this home away from home very much. We would definitely come back to this location again.

One thing was very nice was the cleaning of the driveway after the snow blizzard happened in the night: early morning the driveway was cleaned already. No shoveling needed!

Everything was great, the back of the house views a forest and the pictures don’t do it justice!!! Would recommend this place for anyone that wants to be close to town while also having a private getaway.

The property was cozy and perfect for our group of 7. Upon check-in, the property looked clean but none of the beds were bed. All lines were just crumpled up in the middle of the beds. The hosts were quick to respond and sent house cleaning there immediately to freshen up. Our favorite thing was the jacuzzi area in the back of the property. It does take time to heat up though. We had wanted to use the grill but there was no propane left. The host offered to deliver some or reimburse us if we purchased, but we were too lazy and hungry so used the stove instead. The pantry was well stocked with all the seasonings we needed to cook dinner after a long day on the slopes. Also loved all the provided board games! We would stay at this property again!

They had excellent customer service. There were a couple issues with the plumbing and heat. The shower nob fell off and shot water into the unit. A plumber was there in less than ten minutes. There were issues with the heat. The rep was available to help trouble shoot it quickly. Excellent response time.

This was a great stay for our group to enjoy the historic amount of snow in Tahoe! The house has heated pads on the deck to prevent snow/ice from building up so that was a convenient and unique feature for the house as well as the hot tub! Wish the place had a few extra towels and blankets in the closets, but other than that, the place was well furnished with everything we needed to cook and relax at the house. Thanks!

My family and I stayed here along with our dog for a short ski trip. Overall ok, but can’t say we’d seek it out to stay again.

Pros:The hosts were very responsive, and willing to help us. Upon arriving, the home was warmed up which was very appreciated.
There were plenty of spices in the kitchen; a commodity in the Airbnb world it seems. Also really appreciated the extra towels in bathroom.
The styling of the home was cute and a nod to mid century design.
Beautiful and peaceful neighborhood! There’s trails right next to the home, where we saw people snowmobiling, walking dogs, and cross country skiing. The distance to the slopes at heavenly and the village was great.

Cons:Could use some updating/general polishing up. Cleaning could be better as well. There were crumbs of white cracked paint or something on the dark green carpet in the room I stayed in.
Strange large wet spots on carpet of the room with bunks (smelled musty too)
Leaking toilet, would create a puddle around base.

My family, our doggo and I had a lovely stay! We loved the cozy decor and the wide range of amenities, and felt right at home as soon as we entered the space. That they are dog friendly was the cherry on top, as we got to celebrate the holidays in the tahoe with our dog!

Management was responsive and flexible as we encountered some troubles with the weather (i.e. snowed-in roads, etc.).

They quickly helped me make other arrangements despite the lack of notice, no doubt good timing combined with flexible solutions, I am appreciative I chose a weekday to visit and Lux Villa’s team member had considered solutions.

Considering I switched, last minute, to an entirely different home, it was amazingly similar (and in ways better) than what I originally booked. I’m really happy with how this potentially trip-ruining detail was quickly resolved with tact and decisiveness.

I’ll continue to try to book through this company as it’s reputation, to me, is consistently above expectations.

A great cabin nestled away in the beautiful forest. It has a nice big back yard that backs up to trails. This was perfect for our pup. Would recommend.

The house was very clean, easy to get to.
Was only about 15-20 minutes from town making it a quiet area.

This house in South Lake Tahoe was exactly what we were looking for. It is on the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and the closest house is far enough away that we did not feel that we had neighbors. Sitting on the front porch to drink coffee in the morning, or sitting in the hot tub in the evening, this house felt very private. There is a hiking trail that goes behind the house, but even in July there was minimal traffic. We sat in the hot tub and waived a few hikers while we drank mimosas 🙂
Check in was stupidly easy and the house was super clean.
The only word of caution I have before you book this house is that if you plan on taking an Uber to the casinos / Heavenly Village, expect to pay $50 each way. We did it one night and that was not an issue, but if you are going to go several days in a row, that can add up. Absolutely not a knock on the house at all, just something to consider if this is part of your plans.
This is THE place I will be staying whenever I visit Tahoe. I cannot say enough about how perfect this house was.

From before the trip until we left the communication was great. When we got there, check in was incredibly easy and the place was very clean. The location was great if you like some privacy. Greatly enjoyed the stay. Even though the stove wasn't fully operational they provided a portable cooktop for us which was very helpful.

The neighborhood roads leading to the house can get snowy/icy and weren’t plowed very well, so I highly recommend bringing a 4WD car and/or chains if you have them.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of December and do not have one complaint. The cabin was clean, well equipped with dishes, paper towels, toilet paper, towels and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We had 3 guests and 2 large breed dogs and were very comfortable. I would say for a larger group the living space of the cabin might be a bit small as it is not as large as it appears in the photos but for my group it was more than adequate. The cabin is secluded in the woods with a hiking trail right out the front door. The hot tub was on point and the outside property is very well lit at night with automatic lights with sensors. It was a 15 minute drive from Stateline and Heavenly Village. We had an amazing experience with not one complaint and would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 3 plus a dog had a great stay at Hidatsa! The place had everything we needed and was extremely clean. The only complaint was that the laundry machine did not work. Other than that, the home is in a great location in South Lake Tahoe and is tucked away in a cul de sac away from other neighbors which we loved!

This place is tucked away in a court and have the forest as your backyard.

Adorable cabin in an extremely tranquil and private setting. We enjoyed getting away for a few days in the snow. The house is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The house is a great place to gather with friends and the stylish touches go a long way.

Lux Villa VR was very considerate and thoughtful in ensuring guests feel cozy like home when staying at the retreat. They were also very accommodating and responsive to requests made last minute. The place was also in close proximity to sledding/skiing/snowboarding resorts. Overall a perfect experience and we will definitely come back for another stay if we travel to Tahoe again!

Outstanding customer service from a top-notch property management team, amazing location in a beautiful, secluded part of S. Lake Tahoe, and a lot of thoughtful touches/amenities provided (especially for our doggo, we added more toys to the communal dog basket since ours destroyed several lol).
