The property was cozy and perfect for our group of 7. Upon check-in, the property looked clean but none of the beds were bed. All lines were just crumpled up in the middle of the beds. The hosts were quick to respond and sent house cleaning there immediately to freshen up. Our favorite thing was the jacuzzi area in the back of the property. It does take time to heat up though. We had wanted to use the grill but there was no propane left. The host offered to deliver some or reimburse us if we purchased, but we were too lazy and hungry so used the stove instead. The pantry was well stocked with all the seasonings we needed to cook dinner after a long day on the slopes. Also loved all the provided board games! We would stay at this property again!

They had excellent customer service. There were a couple issues with the plumbing and heat. The shower nob fell off and shot water into the unit. A plumber was there in less than ten minutes. There were issues with the heat. The rep was available to help trouble shoot it quickly. Excellent response time.

This was a great stay for our group to enjoy the historic amount of snow in Tahoe! The house has heated pads on the deck to prevent snow/ice from building up so that was a convenient and unique feature for the house as well as the hot tub! Wish the place had a few extra towels and blankets in the closets, but other than that, the place was well furnished with everything we needed to cook and relax at the house. Thanks!

My family and I stayed here along with our dog for a short ski trip. Overall ok, but can’t say we’d seek it out to stay again.

Pros:The hosts were very responsive, and willing to help us. Upon arriving, the home was warmed up which was very appreciated.
There were plenty of spices in the kitchen; a commodity in the Airbnb world it seems. Also really appreciated the extra towels in bathroom.
The styling of the home was cute and a nod to mid century design.
Beautiful and peaceful neighborhood! There’s trails right next to the home, where we saw people snowmobiling, walking dogs, and cross country skiing. The distance to the slopes at heavenly and the village was great.

Cons:Could use some updating/general polishing up. Cleaning could be better as well. There were crumbs of white cracked paint or something on the dark green carpet in the room I stayed in.
Strange large wet spots on carpet of the room with bunks (smelled musty too)
Leaking toilet, would create a puddle around base.

Been staying at AirBNB's for both work and pleasure for 10 years and have never written a bad review

Basically the house was a little worn and a little smaller than the pictures made it look but thats totally understandable

The power went out in the house so we flipped all the breakers and were able to get the power restored to half the house. We had no Fireplace, no TV, No Wifi for 2 nights during heavy rain and snow. No outside lights for the deck. Property management company said they would send an eclectican out but never did. Sent us a text that it was too busy and pretty much too bad for us. Refused to offer a partial refund.

One of the rooms had no curtains, the bedding was Shabby. Only 2 towels per bathroom. Coffee grinder didnt work, Electric Fireplace didn't work. Path to hot tub is super treacherous because there is no path you just have to navigate a snow bank on the side of the house.

All of this for the bargain price of $800 a night,.

Management was responsive and flexible as we encountered some troubles with the weather (i.e. snowed-in roads, etc.).

They quickly helped me make other arrangements despite the lack of notice, no doubt good timing combined with flexible solutions, I am appreciative I chose a weekday to visit and Lux Villa’s team member had considered solutions.

Considering I switched, last minute, to an entirely different home, it was amazingly similar (and in ways better) than what I originally booked. I’m really happy with how this potentially trip-ruining detail was quickly resolved with tact and decisiveness.

I’ll continue to try to book through this company as it’s reputation, to me, is consistently above expectations.

This house in South Lake Tahoe was exactly what we were looking for. It is on the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and the closest house is far enough away that we did not feel that we had neighbors. Sitting on the front porch to drink coffee in the morning, or sitting in the hot tub in the evening, this house felt very private. There is a hiking trail that goes behind the house, but even in July there was minimal traffic. We sat in the hot tub and waived a few hikers while we drank mimosas 🙂
Check in was stupidly easy and the house was super clean.
The only word of caution I have before you book this house is that if you plan on taking an Uber to the casinos / Heavenly Village, expect to pay $50 each way. We did it one night and that was not an issue, but if you are going to go several days in a row, that can add up. Absolutely not a knock on the house at all, just something to consider if this is part of your plans.
This is THE place I will be staying whenever I visit Tahoe. I cannot say enough about how perfect this house was.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of December and do not have one complaint. The cabin was clean, well equipped with dishes, paper towels, toilet paper, towels and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We had 3 guests and 2 large breed dogs and were very comfortable. I would say for a larger group the living space of the cabin might be a bit small as it is not as large as it appears in the photos but for my group it was more than adequate. The cabin is secluded in the woods with a hiking trail right out the front door. The hot tub was on point and the outside property is very well lit at night with automatic lights with sensors. It was a 15 minute drive from Stateline and Heavenly Village. We had an amazing experience with not one complaint and would definitely stay here again.
