Great stay. Responsive host. Would stay again for future trips.
great place and lots of ammenities, bad luck we had lots of snow and couldn't use the hotube and the grill.
Wanna get away. The Moose Lodge is located in a peaceful neighborhood close to activities for the family. Getting there was easy and check-in was smooth. Be prepared to read a lot of instructions of what “not” to do. Although the fire stove was a bit of challenge, e-mailing the host was easy and got a quick response. Enjoy!
10 minute drive to Heavenly. Clean and cozy.
Great place super cozy and a lot of lightning, but stairs were super icy, be careful
It was a great place to stay with a family of 5, cozy and warm.
Great stay. Very comfortable.
Cabin was clean. Nice quiet neighborhood. The AC unit upstairs was helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, utensils etc. We tripped a circuit breaker with two hair dryers going, and the communication to tell us where the breaker box was located was within 5 minutes. Very helpful.
The pictures are accurate, place is cozy and has gorgeous views. The hot tub is well kept and amazing and the grill as well. The lodging was versatile in a sense that it would be great for 3 people (what my group had) but can definitely accommodate more comfortably.
We enjoyed our stay! The backyard and small trampoline are great for kids. We also enjoyed the hot tub a couple mornings while it was cool out! AC unit upstairs was a big plus as the cabin does heat up during the day regardless of opening windows while it's cool out. Another plus is the washer/dryer. We were traveling with small children so it was nice to have the option to wash clothes while we were there! Be sure to lock your car doors - we forgot one night and woke up to the doors wide open. Cash was still in the car so it was most certainly a bear looking for food (we didn't have any!)
We really enjoyed our stay!!
We enjoyed staying here! Would love to come back and visit this place!
Great cabin in a great neighborhood in Tahoe. A beautiful view from the porch, hot tub and living room kept us staring at the mountains when we were home. The hot tub was clean and easy to operate. Ive had bad experiences with Tahoe Airbnbs in the past due to all the rules and regulations up there, this definitely was NOT one of those bad experiences. We will be recommending this spot and staying here again given the opportunity in the future.
This is a very pretty beautiful cabin with a piano, hot tub, barbecue grill and all the jazz. Kitchen has all the utensils that you will ever need and then some more. Bakers there’s also the automated batter whisker thing 😉
The hosts were very responsive they refilled and provided us with an additional propane tank just in case we run out.
I love to stay again!
We had a great stay in the cabin. It was very clean, there was a great amount of space especially for the rate. I felt it was a great value and we really enjoyed the hot tub and the grill. The place had character and was very warm in a cool experience. The communication customer service was also great, they were responsive and very friendly. On our checkout day there was a huge snowstorm and they were very accommodating.
Everything was great! Exactly as I expected and more. The hot tub was amazing, although keep in mind the owners are very strict about not using it after 10pm. The walls are very thin in the house and you can hear everything throughout, but wasn’t too much of a problem. The house has anything you would pretty much need for a Tahoe getaway. I highly recommend and would absolutely stay again!
We stayed here for a weekend of skiing and absolutely loved it! It’s a cute little cabin with plenty of space for a small group to hang out in. It was also about 10 minutes from Heavenly so it was super convenient for getting out on the slopes. The kitchen also had just about anything you could need. Definitely recommend this place!
This was a wonderful base camp for our family ski trip! Plenty of room for everyone and the hot tub was a huge plus!
This was a great place to stay. Nicely located to what we wanted to do. Lots of snow on the ground but the paths were reasonably cleared. Kids loved playing in the backyard. There was some damage due to the snow accumulation that it would have been nice if they had cleaned up but all in all it was understandable given the conditions. Note that there's a small hill to up to the house so heed their note about needing AWD to get up it if there's recent snow.
Everything was amazing and as advertised. Best part was how communicative the host is.
Cozy cabin. Very clean and great location. Hot tub was at a perfect 104!
Does not have cable tv.
We overall enjoyed our stay there, but there were two surprises. The photos are very professional and touched up, making the place look much bigger, brighter, newer than it actually is. When we showed up, we initially wondered did we end up in the wrong place. After the surprise, it felt pretty cozy.
The other bummer is that the beds were not comfortable and the floors creaked loudly, so it was hard to sleep if anyone else was moving about upstairs. Make sure you bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, as you can hear every time someone flushed the toilet or showered. I had ear plugs but still ended up being pretty sleep deprived after 3 days, and it was hard to enjoy skiing when tired. I think for families it will be fine if everyone woke up / slept a about the same time. It's an old house so that's a structural thing, but we were there for 4 days and it was about $500 a night all in, which felt pricy given that + the photos making it look much better.
I do want to point out there were really nice touches: we really liked the well stocked kitchen, the cozy stove fireplace, and the hot-tub. The location was amazing with 10 min to Heavenly and a 3 min walk to a wooded trail.
The place was really nice! Super clean and loved how it felt very cabin like (nice decor). Nice backyard and the hot tub was awesome. Wish there would have been a light outside by the hot tub that was not motion censored because we kept having to get up to turn it back on or else it was pitch black. The hot tub did have lights though. The kitchen was very well stocked. Pots/pans etc. Would definitely go back! Close to Heavenly Ski Resort - 10 mins away. Very convenient.
Great house with everything you need. Fits five us perfect and we probably could have done 1 or 2 more comfortably. Toaster makes the finest bagels. Nice view of the mountains. Short drive downtown with the rental car. Great stay
