Please be advised that The City of South Lake Tahoe has implemented very aggressive enforcement of some Vacation Home Rental Ordinances with a zero tolerance policy. Failure to abide will result in a $1000 owner to guest, and $1000 citation to owner. Guests are liable to pay owner's citation if you were at fault.

1. No excessive noise anytime. No amplified music, loud talking outdoors. No Jacuzzi or any talking outside during quiet hours 10pm-8am. It’s ok to make reasonable speaking noise, play board games, watch tv, etc. inside the home, with windows closed during quiet hours.
2. No more than the maximum occupancy is allowed on the property at any time. If you have friends renting other units or staying at other property, you may not occupy the inside of one unit if it will exceed the maximum occupancy. You may however occupy the back lawn and other common areas. If code enforcement shows up, they will ask how many guests you have. Make sure you do not exceed the maximum occupancy.
3. No parties, special events, weddings, bachelor/ette parties are allowed at any time.
4. No visible trash may be left outside due to bears. All trash should be deposited inside a bear resistant trash bin.

Other rules:

1.Smoking or vaping of any product is not allowed in the unit or anywhere on the Sierra Shores property.
2.Pets are not allowed on the property
3.Please park cars only inside your garage or 1 of the 5 on site overflow parking spots. Or unlimited overflow parking across the street at Safeway. Please DO NOT PARK in the on site managers spot by front gate. DO NOT PARK in an area that may block other cars.

Sierra Shores is the best location ever! Watching the water and sky from the back porch and lawn is just so peaceful and healing. It has become one of our favorite places to stay in Tahoe. My family of five fits perfectly in the three bedroom units. We'll definitely be back in the next year or two to get our Tahoe time.

This was the 2nd time my family and I stayed at this AirBnb location and we absolutely love it! We love how it has an easy and private access to the beach with amazing views! We had an issue with our coffee maker and the property manager was able to get it fixed quickly! We will continue to book this location whenever we decide to visit.

Nice view. Clean place.
Only one garage/parking space for a 3 bedroom house!!!!
You will have to park at Safeway and walk across the street! Never had such an experience!
Checkin process sucks. Not so much info. You’ll get confused when you arrive. No one picks the phone up to assist or answer your questions concerns. Had to worry over my car being towed.
There is extra tax which will be charged after the booking. Be aware!
The place has nice views and private beach access tho.

优点:
绝美的湖景房!我们对房屋的湖景和位置都非常满意,房子就坐落在市中心的位置,路对面有一家Safeway超市非常方便,开车10分钟就可以进内华达州的赌场,小镇周围的餐厅和快餐厅(麦当劳、赛百味、达美乐等餐厅)也都在开车3分钟左右可以抵达。客厅和餐厅区域的落地窗落地门可以让你在公共区域对美丽的太浩湖一览无余。打开客厅的门走下楼梯即可到达太浩湖边的私人海滩,相比于那些公共海滩,小区自己的私人海滩更为安静。早上我还在海滩上看到了两头土狼,他们都很友善,还会和我握手,即使我靠近他们也不会攻击我或是吃了我。房屋内部的装修风格一致,床睡着很舒服。餐具、厨房用具、调料、洗浴用具干净齐全。

缺点:
1. 楼上声音很吵,屋主无法管控:第一晚我们楼上的邻居在开派对,他们明显违反了房屋规定超过了最多允许居住的人,同时排队从晚上10点持续到凌晨3点。我们给屋主发送了短信,打了电话,在爱彼迎平台发送了信息沟通,但是并没有得到回复,也没有等到解决,楼上的吵闹还在继续。我们迫不得已只能报警,好在南太浩湖市的警察很给力,接警到出警20分钟就来了阻止了楼上的吵闹。第二天我们接到了屋主的回复告知我们:他们对楼上的套房没有控制权,那个房子属于其他公司管理只能向物业反馈,然而物业除了开停车罚单什么作用都起不到。第二天,最终还是需要我们再次报警解决。我对此非常失望,你并不是拥有了整栋房子,房子的二楼属于别人,虽然他们不和你共用出入口,但是一旦你摊上了一个坏邻居,你的睡眠质量和心态都不会很好。

2. 没有人遵守度假村的规定(宠物/派对/吸烟/安静时间):在入住前我们收到一份屋主发给我们的文件,明确说明了度假村不可以有宠物、不可以举办派对、不能吸烟、晚上10点以后不可以大吵大闹,然而并没有人遵守这个规定。在私人海滩上能看见很多人在遛狗、度假村内的地上经常可以见到烟头,晚上10点以后有人在开派对。

3. 追加收费、性价比和服务:
a) 补缴税款:支付完全款后,我们被要求补交城市税款,这和我以往预定过的爱彼迎房屋不一样,你支付的总价格没有包含税款。屋主说在房屋描述中写到了需要后补税款,虽然是我自己的原因没有仔细阅读房屋介绍,但是对于英语不好的我来说,阅读50多行字读到最后找到他说的那句:“需要后补税款”还是有难度的。由于我自己英语不好 我可以认栽,但是作为消费者我仍然感到不爽,同时我认为房屋房主有连带责任。收费不透明。

b) 400美元的清洁费和性价比:此次行程我们两晚一共花费了1800美元,房屋标注了400美元的清洁费,然而我们还需要亲自把碗放到洗碗机里,关灯锁门关窗全需要我们自己来做。我不认为清洁这栋房子需要400美元。这个价格虚高。在我们支付如此高昂费用的情况下,管理团队在解决楼上噪音问题时不能及时有效的提供帮助,并且用另一种方式告诉我他们无能为力,我还是非常气愤的。

Pros:
Spectacular Lake View! We are totally satisfied with the location and lake view of the house. This Airbnb located in the downtown area of South Lake Tahoe city. There is a Safeway right across the street. It takes 10 minutes to drive to Casinos in Nevada. There are restaurants such as McDonald's, Subway, Domino's, and other local restaurants within 3 minutes' driving time. You can see the mountains and Lake Tahoe with the French windows(floor-to-ceiling windows) in both the dining and living room. Open the French windows door and walk down the stairs, you will be on the private beach. Compares to public beaches, this private beach is quieter. I see 2 coyotes on the beach, they are friendly, and they even shake hands with me, without attacking or eating me when I approach them. The design of the house interior is good, the bed is comfortable. Silverwares, cooking wares, seasonings, and bath supplies are clean and prepared.

Cons:
1. Host cannot control noises on the second floor: Neighbors above us are having parties, they obviously violate the maximum occupancy rule of the house, and the party lasts from 10 pm to 3 am. We tried to call, text and Airbnb messaging the host but we did not get any replies until the next morning. We have to call South Lake Tahoe Police Department(SLTPD) lastly. SLCPD responds in 20 minutes and stoped the noise/party. On the second day, the host replied to us: the house above us belongs to another company and we(the host) have no control of it. The host said he/she reported to the management team but the management team can do nothing except for issuing parking citations. On the second-day same situation happened, we called SLTPD again. I am disappointed about this, you don't own the whole house/building, the second floor belongs to others. Even they do not share the same entrance door with you but if you get a bad neighbor above you, you will not have good sleep and feelings.

2. No one is following the rules of the resort(pets/party/smoking/quiet time): We received a document that warned us absolutely no pets/party/smoking and quiet time. However, no one follows the rule, there are people walking their dogs with no leash on the beach, there are cigarette buds on the ground, people are partying at night.

3. Additional Charge, Value, and Service:
a)Additional Tax Charge: After the full payment we were asked to pay extra money for tax purposes, this is different than many Airbnbs I booked before. Your payment does not include tax. The host said he wrote the extra tax charge needed in the listing description. As a Chinese speaker, I did not read 50 lines of text to the bottom, and I didn't notice at the bottom it does have mentioned additional tax will be asked for payment. I paid the tax and agreed "voluntarily" since I do not understand English well, but I do not feel happy and I think the host should add the tax charge when we pay for the house.

b) $400 cleaning fee and value: We cost $1800 for a 2-night stay, there is a $400 charge on cleaning fee. With this expensive cost for cleaning fee paid to the host, we still have to put bowls in the dishwasher, we have to close the window, lock the doors, turn off the lights. The cleaning fee is overpriced. We had paid this amount of money but the management can do nothing about the noise above us and told us in another way they have no control of it, we are not satisfied with it.

I stayed here with 3 other people on a mostly-work trip, tho of course we made sure to get some time on the slopes 🙂
The place was warm, cozy, and spacious enough for us all to be comfortable. My favorite part was the lakeside view. So peaceful to wake up to, and so romantic and beautiful at sunset.
Communication with hosts/property manager was great. Quick, helpful responses.
I always love a keypad for entry. There are a couple codes for front gate/front door/garage, but by the end of our stay, I had them memorized.
The only slight issue we had was that we rented a large SUV to fit all our luggage, including a couple ski bags. As such, our car did not fit inside garage! There are a few spots right across from the garages, but they were often full. The property manager advised us that we also had permission from Safeway to park in their lot, directly across the street, so that was good to know.
Enjoyed our stay very much!
